How Every Service Begins
Regardless of which service a watch is brought in for, the process starts the same way: intake, inspection, notes. The piece is examined and what is found is written down. If the inspection reveals something that changes what is needed, that is discussed with you before any work begins.
All three services at Siam are mechanical. We focus on manual and automatic movements — the movements that respond to proper lubrication, careful regulation, and patient handling. This focus means we can concentrate our attention rather than spread it across every type of timepiece.
Timelines are given at intake and are realistic. If something changes, you will be told. The watch is not passed between people without a record, and it is not set aside without your knowledge.
Service 01
Inspection & Light Service
A clear, recorded inspection followed by a light service: cleaning of accessible parts, gentle lubrication, timing adjustment, and a seal review. Everything found is noted plainly, so you can decide on any further work with full understanding. A sensible first step for watches that have not been looked at recently.

Service 02
Full Service
A complete service for mechanical watches that have lost steady timekeeping. The movement is disassembled, cleaned, and re-oiled using lubricants matched to the movement type. The balance wheel and mainspring are reviewed, and timing is regulated across multiple positions. Seals are renewed and the crown mechanism checked. Each step is recorded and the results shared.

Service 03
Restoration & Record
A patient restoration for older or valued watches, kept as an open record from intake to return. We overhaul the movement, conserve the case and dial respectfully, and note every decision made — together with you. Photographs accompany each stage. For pieces of lasting importance, this is the appropriate level of care.

Standards Applied
Across All Services
Movement-Grade Lubricants
Lubricants are selected according to the movement's design and the function of each component. A single oil is not applied across all work.
Multi-Position Timing
Following service, movements are regulated across multiple positions and tested over a full winding cycle. Results are recorded and shared.
Secure Piece Handling
Every watch is tracked in a written intake log. Pieces are stored securely when not being worked on and are traceable at any point during the service period.
No Work Without Agreement
If an inspection reveals scope beyond what was agreed, work stops. We contact you, describe what was found, and wait for your decision before continuing.
12-Month Warranty
All completed work is covered for twelve months. If a serviced function develops an issue in that period, the watch is reviewed without charge.
Originality Preserved
We do not refinish, replate, or alter the external appearance of a watch unless explicitly requested. Originality is respected and conserved.
